Mount Elgon National Park is a spectacular volcanic ecosystem shared between Uganda and Kenya. Duration & Difficulty: Mount Elgon treks range from 3 to 5 days depending on the route—Sasa, Sipi, Piswa, or Suam. Trails vary from steep forest climbs to gentle moorland walks, suitable for trekkers of many fitness levels.

Dry Seasons (June to August & December to February): Best for climbing and hiking. Trails are clearer, and views are more open.
Wet Seasons (March to May & September to November): More challenging but perfect for photography, waterfalls, and bird watching. Vegetation is lush and vibrant.
Visitors require a Uganda Wildlife Authority permit for climbing Mount Elgon. Costs vary based on nationality and activities selected.
